چکیده

In a homogeneous pionic gas system, chemical nonequilibrium process is considered to understand its effect in the expansion processes that are realized immediately after heavy ion collisions. The chemical relaxation time is calculated by incorporating the π+π ↔ π+π+π+π reaction, which is given in the second order of perturbation in the σ model. The π + π ↔ π + π + π + π reaction is assumed to be less frequent than the π+ π ↔ π+ π scattering that is expected to establish the local equilibrium, and hydrodynamical equation is solved for various initial conditions. It is shown that the relaxation time is of the order of 100fm and does not have a significant effect on the expansion process, which implies that the pion number freezeout takes place at an early stage of the expansion. ∗e-mail: [email protected]

Rotational-translational relaxation effects in diatomic-gas flows

The problem of deriving the nonequilibrium gas dynamic equations from the first principles of the kinetic theory of gases was studied by Ferziger and Kaper [1] in the cases of near-equilibrium and slow-relaxation processes of the energy exchange between internal and translational degrees of molecular freedom. The case of the arbitrary energy exchange ratio was analyzed in [2], [3], [4], [5] for...

The narrow peak recently found in various pionic double charge exchange (DCX) cross sections can be explained by the assumption of a universal resonance at 2065 MeV, called d ′. We calculate the mass of a six-quark system with J P = 0 − , T = 0 quantum numbers employing a cluster model and a shell model basis to diagonalize the nonrelativistic quark model Hamiltonian.

A Predictive Model for the Combustion Process in Dual Fuel Engines at Part Loads Using a Quasi Dimensional Multi Zone Model and Detailed Chemical Kinetics Mechanism

This work is carried out to investigate combustion characteristics of a dual fuel (diesel-gas) engine at part loads, using a quasi-dimensional multi zone combustion model (MZCM) for the combustion of diesel fuel and a single zone model with detailed chemical kinetics for the combustion of natural gas fuel. Chemical kinetic mechanisms consist of 184 reactions with 50 species. This combustion mod...

Effect of Hydrogen Addition to Natural Gas on Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Combustion Engines Performance and Emissions Using a Thermodynamic Simulation

The HCCI combustion process is initiated due to auto-ignition of fuel/air mixture which is dominated by chemical kinetics and therefore fuel composition has a significant effect on engine operation and a detailed reaction mechanism is essential to analysis HCCI combustion. A single zone-model permits to have a detailed chemical kinetics modeling for practical fuels. In this study a single-zone ...

Improved numerical simulation of the low temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in a trickle bed reactor

Abstract Gas to liquid (GTL) process involves heterogeneous catalytic chemical reactions that convert synthesis gas to hydrocarbons and water vapor. A three phase reactor, called Low temperature Fischer-Tropsch (LTFT) is commonly applied for GTL process. In this reactor the gaseous phase includes the synthesis gas, light hydrocarbons and water vapor, the liquid phase is a mixture of the h...
